REV. LEO BELANGER

Rev. Leo J. Belanger, 91, a Roman Catholic priest who taught in Oak Park and Lisle, died Saturday of cancer in the Colombiere Center, a retirement home in Clarkston, Mich. Ordained as a priest in 1932 in Rome, Rev. Belanger entered the Jesuit order in 1938 in Hazaribagh, India. In 1936, he made a trip around the world on missions for the Roman Catholic Diocese of Helena, Mont. From 1949 to 1965, Rev. Belanger taught youths in Chicago-area parishes and at St. Procopius College in Lisle. In 1991, he retired to the Colombiere Center, a home for Catholic priests. Services will be held Monday in Michigan.
