Rev. Joseph Doria Pasciuto, 70 Chaplain of Knights of Columbus, of Great Kills, Staten Island, N.Y., passed away on April 10, 2016, at his residence.
Born in Brooklyn, N.Y., he was a senior case worker at the N.Y.C. Department of Social Services for over 20 years. He attended St. John's University and earned bachelor's and master's degrees.
He was ordained a Roman Catholic priest on June 1, 1991, in St. James Cathedral, Brooklyn, N.Y.
Father Pasciuto was the chaplain of the Staten Island Knights of Columbus and associate friar of the Governor Dongan Assembly K of C. He was a member of the Sons of Italy Father Capodanno Lodge and an avid N.Y. Mets fan.
Father Pasciuto was the dear brother of Richard, loving cousin of Anthony D. Russo, Dr. Raffaela Russo-Skeehan (Dr. Christopher) and Dr. Vincent Sottile, and also leaves many loving nieces and nephews.
Viewing will be held on Thursday, April 14, from 4 to 7 p.m. at Holy Child R.C. Church, 4747 Amboy Rd., S.I., with a Mass of Transferral to follow at 7:30 p.m. 
A Mass of Christian Burial will be said at St. James Cathedral, 250 Cathedral Pl., Brooklyn, N.Y. 11201, on Friday, April 15, at 10:30 a.m. Entombment will take place in Resurrection Cemetery, Staten Island. Arrangements are entrusted to Scarpaci Funeral Home. - See more at:
