Rev. Paul J. Sciarrotta died Saturday, November 25, 2017 after having received the prayerful support and consolation of the Sacraments.

Paul Joseph Sciarrotta was born on 10 August 1936. His parents were the late Charles and Jennie (Indelicato). He was educated at Woodland Elementary School, Audubon Junior High School, Our Lady of Mt,. Carmel (east) Elementary School, and Cathedral Latin High School, all in Cleveland. He attended Borromeo Seminary, Wickliffe, St. Gregory Minor Seminary, Cincinnati, and The North American College, Vatican. On 19 December 1962 in the Ecclesia Christi Regis, Rome, Archbishop Martin O'Connor ordained him to the priesthood for the service of the Diocese of Cleveland.

Fr. Sciarrotta was assigned to many parishes in the Cleveland area. He retired on 1 September 2011. Fr. Paul was a kind and generous priest who faithfully served the church. His gentle smile, kind disposition, priestly heart and faithful service to the women religious of the diocese will be greatly missed.

The wake will begin with Vespers on Thursday, 30 November, in Notre Dame Provincial House, 13000 Auburn Road, Chardon, Ohio 44024 at 3:00 pm. Bishop Roger Gries will preside and be the homilist. The wake will continue until 8:00 pm. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated Friday, 1 December, in Notre Dame Provincial House at 11:00 am. Bishop Nelson Perez will be the main celebrant and Fr William Padavick will be the homilist. Interment Calvary, Cleveland.
