Rev. Gerald W. Conway passed away on January 29, 2019. He was born on September 26, 1931, the third of nine children of Amelia Rose Clemens and Patrick Henry Conway II., and was raised on a farm near Rochester, Minnesota.
In his 62 years in the priesthood, Fr. Jerry served the Diocese of Winona, Minnesota through teaching, administration and parish work.
Fr. Jerry retired from active ministry in 1999, wintering in Scottsdale. In 2004, he moved to Arizona, assisting at parishes in Scottsdale, Glendale and Tolleson, and offering Mass each Sunday to fellow residents at Pueblo Norte.
Fr. Jerry was preceded in death by his parents, Pat and Amelia, his brother Pat, a niece and a nephew. Surviving are siblings - Dan (Joyce), Bernie (Judy), Marilyn Zahrt (John) and Elaine Selmier (Travis) in Arizona; John and David (Peggy) in California; and Terry (Barbara) in South Carolina, - and nieces, nephews and their families.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Mayo Clinic.
A Celebration of Life will occur on Sunday, February 24 at 3pm at Pueblo Norte in Scottsdale.
